Why Wellness In The Workplace Matters
We spend one third of our lives at work and the rest of the time trying to squeeze in seeing friends and family, hobbies and relaxing. When we are at work, we frequently face stress or anxiety, or see it in others. It’s no surprise then, that wellness in the workplace is becoming a key area of focus for employers.
In 2016/2017, an estimated 12.5 million working days were ‘lost’ in the UK due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety. A recent MINDBODY study found that almost a quarter of UK survey respondents always felt stressed or anxious, with over three-quarters (78%) saying they had no corporate fitness or wellness scheme in place.Read more
